NDP trainings in May and June

Dear all,

Finally, mid year exam is over and it's time for us to meet again - for NDP practices!!!

Some of you have the videos of the "Hat dance" and the "Prata_Freakout_FreeYourMind", please watch it and revise the dance steps by practising your steps at home first.

If you don't have the videos, then you must watch the videos that I've uploaded to youtube.com. Watch out for the next entry. It is the video that I've recorded during the Students Leaders Trainings.

Before we go for the Combined Trainings at Amoy Quee Camp and Kranji Camp, our Principal, Mr.Yeo and HOD PE, Mr.Low, kindly allow us to practice IN SCHOOL during SCHOOL HOURS on the following dates:

20May (wed) - HALL
(Bring a cap + a towel/ Tee shirt)
If you don't have a cap, borrow from your friends.
Attire: school attire

0800 - 1000 : fitting of NDP costumes. Have to measure your variuos sizes
1000 - 1030 : recess
1030 - 1230 : trainings by the dance coach
1230 - 1300 : finish & debrief


21May (thurs), 26 May (tues) and 28 May (Thurs) - HALL
(Bring a cap + a towel/ Tee shirt)
If you don't have a cap, borrow from your friends.
Attire: school attire
0800 - 1000 : trainings by the dance coach
1000 - 1030 : recess
1030 - 1230 : trainings by the dance coach
1230 - 1300 : finish & debrief

22 May (fri) - Combined Training at Amoy Quee Camp
Attire: PE attire
Meeting time: 1.3pm
Meeting venue: outside General Office
Return Pick - up time: 6pm at Amoy Quee Camp
Reach school: ~ 6.30pm

*Arrangement for Muslim Students only*
For Malay students who have to go for Friday Prayers, you are required to go to Yio Chu Kang MRT Station. A shuttle bus will be provided to bring them to Amoy Quee Camp at 2.30pm. An Army personel will be at the station to take their attendance before the shuttle bus departs for Amoy Quee Camp.

But if you are not going for Friday Prayers and would want to join the rest of the students in school to go to Amoy Quee Camp together, pls gather outside General Office at 1.40pm too.

23 May (Sat) - 1st CCR & IMDR at Kranji Camp
Attire: PE attire
Meeting time: 8.30am
Meeting venue: outside General Office
Return Pick - up time: 6pm at Kranji Camp
Reach school: ~ 6.30pm - 6.45pm

27May (Wed) - Training at Amoy Quee Camp
Meeting time: 1.30pm
Meeting venue: outside General Office
Return Pick - up time: 6pm at Amoy Quee Camp

30 May (Sat) - 2nd CCR & IMDR at KRANJI CAMP

Training / rehearsals schedule for NDP

For Student Leaders ONLY
Total numbers = 17 sessions

(Student Leaders Trainings + Cluster B training+ combine trainings + rehearsals + NDP)

The roles of Student Leaders are to learn the steps/ songs first and teach the remaining students in school, before all 80 students go for the Cluster B training.

For the rest of the participants

= 14 sessions

(Cluster B training +combine trainings + rehearsals + NDP).

Harlow, especially to 1N2 and 1N3

Dear all,

Firstly, let me introduce myself 1 more time ... Mdm Juliana here , the Form yeacher of 1N3. I'm the NDP Co - ordinator for our school and will be taking care of all of you, with the rest of the teachers, to the trainings / rehearsals and on the actual day - 09 August 09.

To 1N2 & 1N3 specially, Thank you for staying in the hall after the assembly and listen to my presentation. And of course a big Thank you to those enthuasistic boys who volunteered themsevles to be the Student Leaders! (Your trainings start next week! Pls scroll down...)

This will be the official website for me to communicate with you about the dates of rehearsals/ trainings and share with you the photos that I will be taking during your trainings/rehearsals+the NDP show.

I can't wait for it to begin! Cos it's going to be very exciting and may be a challenging journey for you and me from now onwards. (Remember how did you go "OMG" when you saw the training schedules in the hall today...)

If this is your 1st time participating in NDP, so am I.

If you feel nervous performing in front of others, so am I.

If you feel worried about the training schedule, so am I.

If you have other committments, so am I.

If you're very happy and feel honoured to be part of the NDP show, so am I.

There's always a first time for every so LET'S GO ''OMG'' TOGETHER!

We will go through it together, learn together, and have fun together for this (may be) an once - in - a - lifetime experience for some of us/ all of us.

When you look back, I want you to remember ...

- the friendships that you have made with eachother or other 7 sec schools;

- the moments of difficulties and how strong you're;

- the fun + horror + ups and downs that you have;

- this NDP show will broaden your horizons;

-how to prioritize your schedules (study+CCA+NDP+ tuition+etc);

- you've participated a very honourable event and ...

- you represent SINGAPORE!

Serangoon Secondary School is joing NDP'09

You're reading the offical Serangoon Secondary School NDP'09 website. Yes, we are 1 of the secondary schools participating this exciting event.

I've attended the NDP briefing today. This year NDP will be different from last year! More exciting! And Choir is no longer standing on the stage singing.

More movement! More dynamic and more fun!
